Breaking News: Former Anambra House of Assembly Speaker, Anayo Nnebe, Passes Away at 61
In a s0rrowful turn of events, Honourable Anayo Nnebe, the former speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has succumbed to a brief illness at the age of 61. The dem1se occurred at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
Prior to his passing, Nnebe served as the Special Adviser on Legislative and Assembly Matters to Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Notably, he had been elected as a member of the House of Representatives for Awka North South Federal constituency under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In 2018, he made a political shift, defecting from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo expressed shock and deep s0rrow over Nnebe’s dem1se, describing him as a distinguished son of Anambra State and a patriotic Nigerian.
