Yul Edochie Explains Absence from Sunday Service Following Controversial Video

Popular Nollywood actor and self-ordained pastor, Yul Edochie, has stirred controversy after revealing the reasons behind the cancellation of Sunday service on February 18, amid recent social media uproar over a video showing him sharing a glass of beer with his second wife, Judy Austin.

Yul Edochie, renowned for his roles in Nigerian cinema and his recent venture into pastoral duties, took to Instagram to issue an apology to his congregation for the unexpected cancellation of Sunday service on February 18. The actor-turned-pastor attributed the absence to “unavoidable challenges” but refrained from elaborating further.

The apology follows a recent video shared by Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy Austin, on Valentine’s Day, where the couple was seen enjoying a glass of beer. The footage sparked criticism and raised eyebrows, especially considering Edochie’s status as a minister within his church community.

In light of the controversial video and subsequent backlash, questions have been raised regarding Yul Edochie’s commitment to his pastoral duties and the impact of his actions on his congregation. However, the actor-turned-pastor has yet to address these concerns directly.

Yul Eodchie wrote, “Greetings to all members of True Salvation Ministry worldwide.

“We sincerely apologize for not holding our live broadcast today.

“This was due to some unavoidable challenges.

“But they have been sorted out.

“Thank you for your understanding.

“See you all in our next live broadcast.

“To all our new members, you can still watch our previous live broadcasts on our YouTube channel, Yul Edochie TV.

“This week will be wonderful and prosperous for us all in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Always remember that the most important teaching of God is LOVE.

“God bless us all.”
